THE ART IN ME
Until Feb 28. An exhibition by the art students of Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School and Saint Dominic Catholic Secondary School. Sometimes it is easy to forget what it was like to be a teenager. This exhibition not only showcases the local emerging talent, but also allows viewers much insight into the thinking, attitude and struggles of today’s young citizens. At the Chapel Gallery in Bracebridge.

GRAVENHURST WINTER CARNIVAL
Feb 13-17.  This longstanding Gravenhurst tradition celebrates all that our community has to offer, and features super-fun events including Puddle Jumps, Kids Events, Skokie’s Pizza and Birthday Parties, Polar Bear Dip, Donut Eating on a String, Demolition Derby, Live Entertainment and so much more!

DORSET SNOWBALL WINTER CARNIVAL
Feb 14-15.  Come and join the fun at the 30th annual Dorset Snowball Winter Carnival!

HOTEL CALIFORNIA – EAGLES TRIBUTE
Saturday, Feb 15. For almost three decades now HOTEL CALIFORNIA have been recreating the legendary sound of THE EAGLES, and thrilling audiences all over the world. MUSKOKA HULLABALOO
Saturday Feb 15. Join Muskoka Brewery in Bracebridge for a party at the brewery with beers, bites, and artisans! Dance among the fermenters, shop alongside the canning line, and sip by the bright tanks as they open up the production floor for a truly unique winter get together. It’s time to get out of the cold and into some samples at our fifth annual Muskoka Hullabaloo. · $10 covers admission and 3 beer tokens.

MONTE CARLO NIGHT
Saturday Feb 15.  Enjoy a night of gourmet food, awesome games, door prize, live entertainment and a fabulous silent auction at Rawley Resort in Port Severn. Games include: Black Jack, Texas Holdem & Roulette. Silent auction proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network. This event is for ticketholders only. Tickets – $60 per person & include: admission for one, buffet dinner, $5000 of fun play money.

FAMILY DAY AT THE MUSKOKA DISCOVERY CENTRE
Monday, Feb 17. Our Kidzone Play Specialist will have special crafts and experiments ready for you.  Participate in the Family Scavenger Hunt and try out the games in Watershed Wonders. At the Muskoka Discovery Centre in Gravenhurst.

BAYSVILLE WINTERFEST
Monday Feb 17. Free family fun from 8:30am to 4:00pm at the Community Centre in Baysville.

BENKADE BY BALLET CREOLE
Thursday, Feb 20. A special presentation for Black History Month that explores the vibrant cultural heritage of Guinea’s Malinke people. This promises to be an incredible evening of music, dance and celebration of cultures at the Gravenhurst Opera House. Ballet Creole’s dance presentations are guaranteed to engage and educate audiences everywhere. Ballet Creole is committed to creating opportunities for African and Caribbean traditions to interact with European dance traditions, whether it be in the Company repertoire, Ballet Creole School’s Professional Training Program (PTP) or community classes. Consistently, what emerges are unique and diverse dance interpretations.

LADIES DAY VACA 2020 AT HIDDEN VALLEY HIGHLANDS SKI AREA
Friday, Feb 21.  Let’s get tropical! Ladies Day is back and this year’s theme is tropical vacations. Join us  at Hidden Valley Highlands for a full day of fun games and activities, yoga, live music, local vendors to shop from, speciality beverages and of course, great skiing and snowboarding!

INTIMATE & INTERACTIVE WITH PAUL LAGENDYK
Friday Feb 21. An intimate musical evening at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville. With only 70 seats available, this event will sell out quickly.

HUNTSVILLE SNOWFEST
Feb 21-22. SnowFest is a free, family friendly, two-day Festival that features a weekend full of outdoor winter activities on a snow-covered Main Street in Downtown Huntsville. The event kicks off on Friday February 21 with a Downtown Pub Crawl. SnowFest starts back up with a full day of events including Nordic & alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fatbiking, skating, axe throwing, and even snoga – yoga on snow! At 4pm be sure to check out the first annual Muskoka Fatbike Race – An exciting 850 m lap race on Main Street!

BLACKIE AND THE RODEO KINGS
Saturday Feb 22. 25 years ago, Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson came together to record what was suppose to be a one- off tribute album to the great Canadian songwriter Willie P. Bennett. At the time, all three members were deeply committed to burgeoning solo careers that they had no intentions of putting on hold, and had no plans to turn Blackie into an ongoing concern. Now with 9 albums , one Juno award and several Juno nominations under their belts, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings have organically evolved into one of the finest roots-oriented bands in North America. At the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville.

SATURDAY SESSIONS AT LAKE OF BAYS BREWERY
Every Saturday at the brewery in Baysville.  Petra – Baysville’s own father daughter duo, Peter and Laura Harbocian, host 11 sessions this winter. With acoustic music with guitars, djembe, washboard and just the right harmonies, Petra perform acoustic music from every decade of the last half century and play at every session. Pertra will also present three new acoustic acts at every session.

RON JAMES
Feb 26 and 27. Award-winning comedian RON JAMES has been selling out theatres for over 20 years with his marathon, side-splitting, kinetically charged performances. Marshaling a comedian’s eye for satire and a writer’s ear for language, Ron takes his audience on a breath-taking, non-stop roller coaster ride, cutting a wide swath through contemporary culture with his razor-sharp ribald wit, uncompromising standards and unique, poetically honed delivery. A stand-out amongst ‘stand-ups. Two shows at the Gravenhurst Opera House.

MATILDA BY ROALD DAHL
Feb 27 to March 7. Bracebridge Rotary presents their 43rd annual musical, drawing on musical talent from across Muskoka. At the Rene Caisse Theatre in Bracebridge.

DWIGHT WINTER CARNIVAL
Feb 28-29. Dwight Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast, Axe Throwing, Fatbiking, Skating, Snowshoeing, Archery, Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides, Cookie Decorating, Carnival Games, Speaking of Wildlife Exhibits & Show, H.O.L.D. Chili Cook Off, and so much more!

BARSTOOL SPORTS POND HOCKEY
Feb 28-29. Four-on-four hockey action where the game is meant to be played, on the open ice. Just off Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst.

GOWAN IN CONCERT
Saturday Feb 28. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, and raised in the Tropic of Canada, Lawrence Gowan enjoyed a lengthy and successful solo career with four Platinum and three Gold albums and one Gold single to his credit, prior to joining Styx in 1999 as keyboardist and one of their three lead vocalists. Performing an intimate concert at Peter’s Players in Gravenhurst.

MUSKOKA SNOWSHOE RACES
Monday March 1. A series of athletic and recreational snowshoe races in conjunction with TriMuskoka, Snowshoe Canada and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Marked and groomed snowshoe trails of 5 and 10 kilometres stretch across Muskoka lake and forest. Complete the course competitively or recreationally. Prizes are distributed by time and age group. This is the final event in the 2020 Ontario Cup Series sanctioned by Snowshoe Canada. Try a new and exciting race and support the Huntsville community! At Camp Tawingo. Proceeds from Muskoka Snowshoe Races go towards the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

A MUSICAL EVENING WITH SARAH SLEAN & HAWKSLEY WORKMAN
Friday March 6. For the first time, two of the finest voices in Canadian music are set to share the stage. Sarah Slean and Hawksley Workman will perform together from their respective musical repertoires—over two decades worth of music! Sarah has made 11 albums and performed with 10 of Canada’s leading orchestras, while Hawksley is a show-stopping songwriter who is as comfortable in front of a mic as he is behind a drum kit. At Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville.

BEERHURST CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL
Saturday, March 7.  Some of Ontario’s finest craft breweries are heading north for the first ever BEERHURST-at-DEERHURST, a new craft beer festival hosted by and at Deerhurst Resort. Of course, several of the breweries are also located in Muskoka and area, adding to the cottage country vibe of the event, which will be headlined by Dwayne Gretzky, Toronto’s popular live music collective.

MUSKOKA MAPLE TRAIL
March 13-April 24. The most Canadian of culinary trails, the Muskoka Maple Trail features stops across Muskoka that have infused locally harvested maple syrup into their culinary offerings. From maple drizzled waffles to smokey-maple ribs, maple craft beer to maple gelato, discover the incredible depth of Canada’s most beloved natural product on the Muskoka Maple Trail. 2020

J. LIGHTMAN – “THE TREE MUSEUM”- SPEAKER SERIES
Sunday, March 15. The Tree Museum was established in 1997 and is a site set on the pre-Cambrian shield amidst the cottage countryside of Muskoka. It is located on Ryde Lake near the town of Gravenhurst, Ontario. The site is undeveloped and includes both waterfront and forest. For the participating artists, this opportunity represents a rare occasion to realize major outdoor artworks in an uncultivated environment. Shows at the Tree Museum included sculptures, works on paper. Installations, dance, contemporary music with over 80 artists participating. The Tree Museum has hosted artists from Taiwan, Hong Kong, the US, Europe, Mexico and of course Canada. Curator E.J. Lightman will discuss the museum at the Muskoka Discovery Centre.
